The road to a longer and healthier life starts here.

Every year millions of people make a New Year's resolution to exercise, lose weight, and get into better physical shape.  They join a health club, however, within one or two months they give up.  Does this sound familiar?  If it does, you are not alone.  Fifty percent of Americans who make New Year's resolutions say they want to lose weight, exercise and get into better physical shape.  Unfortunately, approximately 10% actually follow-through to the end of the year.

So why is the failure rate so high? The answer--the lack of a positive mindset and preparation. In order to have a positive physical fitness experience, it is critical to have a positive mindset. The body will do what the mind tells it to. When the mind and body are in sync, the goals you set out to achieve will be realized sooner and be more sustainable. In addition, having a positive mind-body connection will help you cope with stress and the obstacles that might get in the way during your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

I work with adults and senior adults to achieve their goals of living a healthier lifestyle through exercise, weight loss, nutrition, a positive mindset,  and improved habit formation. Together, we can transform your mindset, bust the myths, get you on your path to meet the goals of living a longer and healthier life you envision for yourself.  So what are you waiting for? Let's do this!

Forget "Why I Can't" - We want to be a better version of ourselves, we just keep getting stuck having the lack of initiative or drive to make it happen. If you do not bring out the best in you, who will? Start by forgetting all the reasons why you can't and start thinking and listing all the reasons why you can.

Envision What You Want - Everything starts with a vision. Vision is defined as a picture or idea you have in your mind of yourself that helps you pursue a dream and achieve a goal. You have to visualize it in order to make it come to life. Whatever it is you want to do—personally or professionally—you must paint a picture in your mind and lock it in. Once you practice visualizing yourself achieving your goals, you will be amazed at how vivid that picture becomes, and how invigorating it is in fueling your fire. Believe it, think it, and see it.

Mind-Body Connection - The mind-body connection is an incredibly strong one. The manipulation the mind has on your body is not done by words, but by your thoughts and feelings that influence you physically. For example, think about what happens to you when you hear your favorite song. How do your mood and behavior change? I would bet you are ready to get up and dance. Making a positive mind-body connection is critical to reaching your healthy lifestyle goals.

Have a Plan - Plans are the blueprints for your journey. They help set your priorities, put you in control, make you efficient, give you a timeline, build confidence, and helps you foresee any challenges and uncertainty.

Self-Discipline - Discipline teaches you the value of hard work, that there are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going. It motivates and inspires you to do your best which yields successful results in all aspects of your life. There are rules to follow, albeit set by you. It means putting yourself and your goals first—following the rules you’ve set for yourself and being accountable when you don’t.

Rest and Re-calibrate - There are many changes you experience along this journey. There are stress points, frustration, fatigue, uncertainty, doubt, aches, pains, etc., and nothing gets you back on track better than rest. With a proper amount of sleep comes a sharper brain and better moods both of which are necessary to keep you focused and disciplined along your journey. When you see better than expected results sooner than later, re-calibrate your plan appropriately. Be your best, get your rest.

“I had come to realize that I was using my age as an excuse for falling short on my own fitness goals. Tony made it very simple for me to envision what I wanted to look like, how I wanted to feel and the paradigm shift it would take in order for me to make my goal come to life. After only a month, the plan that Tony and I put in place was now easy to stick to and I started to feel the difference. I keep my vision, or as Tony would say, "carry that picture with you at all times."  After just three months, I lost 25 pounds and fit into a suit I planned on wearing and felt absolutely great! Tony is a caring teacher, and coach who naturally brings out the potential in you. If you want to be the best version of yourself, Tony will help you make it happen."
